My new best friend

So I posted a blog earlier stating that I love coffee so much that I joined a coffee of the month club. Well now it is time to meet my new best friend. Folks, I would like to introduce you to my italian coffee pot.
I thought that I enjoyed my coffee before but I never knew a coffee love so great as I do now that I have my espresso coffee pot. It was love at first drink. I went to New York, Brooklyn to be exact and my mother in law turned me on to this great invention. I was so smitten with the pot, she had to take me to the local market so that I could score one of these.
I have used it ever since. It actually percolates the coffee. You put the coffee in the strainer portion and you put the water at the bottom of the pot. Once it percolates, it is ready to drink. I heat milk in a small pot while the coffee is doing its thing. Once the coffee is done, pour it into a coffee mug and pour the milk over it. The coffee is much stronger than when it is made in a tradiitonal coffee pot. It is straight espresso.
If you are an avid coffee drinker and especially if you love strong coffee, I recommend you go and score one of your own. As you can see, I use Cafe Bustello coffee in my espresso pot. You can find the pots at Asian supermarkets and at Bed Bath & Beyond.
