I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine the other day and we got on the subject of relationships. She told me that she is to the point that she has given up on love. She has seen too many things that have shattered her faith in relationships. She then posed the question to me about love and I shared my story with her.
I met my soul mate 21 years ago back in 1987. We were both stationed in Hawaii. I didn't know it then because I felt we were too young to fall in love. We were young & silly kids that didn't know much about anything. Eventually we went our separate ways and that was that. Years later we reconnected when we were both older and more mature and the timing was right. My answer to her was that there really is someone out there for everyone. It took me awhile to figure this out. He is my best friend and we are now happily married and both are thankful that we found each other again. (he completes me) I heard that line somewhere. LOL.

I am still waiting for my soul mate.
I Have a simular situation with Jeanie. My first love and I met in middle school and I thought we would marry after college if not before. After several years of make-ups and break-ups I said enough was enough. Well we ar 42 years old now and just celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. I know now that alot of emotional and SPIRITUAL maturity had to take place. I thank God for all the ups and the downs. Through those downs I did learn to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His rihteousness and all other things shall be added unto thee. Thank you for reading..... Cammie
Cammie,
Congratulations on celebrating your fourth anniversary. That is so awesome. Thank you so much for sharing.I agree emotional and spiritual maturity is what has to take place in a relationship for it to succeed.Your story is an inspiration to me and I am sure to other readers as well.
I wish I had an awesome story to tell. But right now I'm in the throws of pain over my relationship. So I guess I will stay quiet on this one...
Tigga, I do understand. It will get better just you wait & see. :)
